Designed to make reading simple, engaging, and effortlessly accessible — so you can discover and enjoy books anytime, anywhere.

Problem Statement

Access to quality digital reading experiences remains challenging for many users. Existing platforms are often cluttered, lack personalization, and fail to provide smooth and intuitive navigation making it difficult for readers to discover content that truly aligns with their interests. As a result, users can feel overwhelmed or disengaged, reducing their motivation to explore new books or develop consistent reading habits in a digital environment.

My challenge was to design a digital reading platform that delivers a calm, intuitive, and inspiring experience one that makes exploring and reading books feel effortless, personalized, and emotionally engaging, encouraging users to read more consistently and enjoyably.

User Research

Instead of conducting direct user interviews, I began with a market and behavioral analysis to understand how people currently interact with digital reading platforms. By observing discussions on online forums and reviewing user feedback on existing online library apps, I identified recurring pain points — cluttered interfaces, lack of smart personalization, and experiences that feel more transactional than immersive or enjoyable.

These insights revealed a strong need for a reading platform that feels more welcoming and inspiring — not just a transactional library, but a thoughtful companion that offers gentle guidance, emotional comfort, and a more personal connection throughout the reading journey.

Design Solution

I designed an application that prioritizes warmth and accessibility, featuring a calming interface built with soft color palettes, subtle rounded elements, and a clear visual hierarchy. The overall experience is supported by conversational microcopy, crafted to feel friendly and reassuring — making users feel guided rather than overwhelmed.

To foster a sense of emotional safety, I focused on creating a visually calming layout with gentle spacing and fluid interactions — ensuring the interface never feels overwhelming or rigid. The goal was to move away from the cold, overly formal feel of typical digital platforms and instead craft an experience that feels safe, welcoming, and effortlessly enjoyable to explore.
